My friend Kate has been involved with Room to Read for over a year now and after attending last year's event and listening to John Wood speak, I am hooked as well.  I am looking forward to this year's event, so please be sure to mark Friday, November 5th off on your calendar and I will see you there!

For the Love of Literacy Gala 10 Years - 10,000 Libraries - 1,000 Schools - 10,000 Girls Educated Please join the Boston Chapter and John Wood, founder and board chair of Room to Read, to celebrate the organization's 10th anniversary year. In its first decade, Room to Read has impacted the lives of more than four million children in Asia and Africa. Help us achieve our goal of reaching 10 million children by 2015. The event will be co-hosted by NECN's Billy Costa and Jenny Johnson and will include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and live and silent auctions.
