Napkin rings galore

Sticking to the table decor theme, here are some options for napkin rings - another great way to add a little something to your next dinner party.

These Dransfield & Ross napkin rings are a little more expensive, but beautiful!
L'Objet gator sold at Saks, higher-end as well at $165 for a set of four
I can't wait for the day I get to register at Simon Pearce, I love everything there and you will get endless use out of these hammered steel napkin rings.

For those of us that might be on more of a budget (like me!), ZGallerie is a great option for decorative items like these. Originally on the west coast, I think this store is making its way east, thank goodness!

One day, when I have my dream house in Vermont, I would love some ski napkin rings!

Dress up your table

My mom and I were recently talking about finding table cloths and how good ones are hard to find.  It inspired me to search around for table cloths, runners and place mats to see what's out there.  There are some fun options here to spruce up your table.  Trina Turk has entered the home decor world so i am hoping that she will launch a line of tablecloths soon - her bright patterns would be so perfect for outdoor dining in the summer!  For now, here are a few things I found:

I LOVE this zebra print runner from ZGallerie.  This totally does not fit the theme of my condo but I am hoping someone I know will buy this.  Definitely an eye catcher.
(If someone buys this, I want to see a picture with the table set!)

Kim Seybert Markham Capiz Placemat from Barney's.

Great neutral table runner from Pottery Barn

Looking for a hotel feel?  Try this monogrammed tablecloth from Pottery Barn

These are all from Neiman Marcus, they have a good variety online.

Beau coup part 1 - party favors

I found some great favors, or little something extras to spice up a table setting, on beau-coup.com. One of my favorites for a birthday party is the mini gum-ball machine.  And the cupcake mix is something anyone would appreciate, so perfect for a shower, wedding OR any darn occasion you want!  This is just a sampling of some that stuck out to me, there are many more on their website.

Setting your table for Christmas

I love Christmas and was lucky to grow up with a mom who went all out to make our house festive for holidays, but Christmas was my favorite by far. Garland, carolers and white lights adorned each fire place and we had two Christmas trees - the kids tree in the kitchen (including ornaments made by me and my brother) and the "designer" tree as I like to call it. One year, my mom put red roses on the tree - we had to put every single flower in a little vile of water to keep it alive. But, it was beautiful. (We only did that one year!). And to this day, the dining room is always set well in advance with beautiful napkin rings, china and flowers. I wanted to share some table settings I found online, I hope you have a festive holiday season!

I think this table is a lot of fun and great for a house in Vermont or out west. Table by Carolyn Roehme and posted on homeworkshop.com.

Country Living has a great slide show of centerpieces and table settings online.

While not a table, I love this banister from Coastal Living.

Some place card holders from Crate & Barrel.

What a splash of color can do

Stowe, Vermont is a place I love and a place I visit often.  So I was thrilled when close family friends opted for a quaint Vermont wedding at Edson Hill Manor.

While this picture doesn't do the space justice, I wanted to share the table settings. They were  simple but elegant and so suiting for the location.

A little bit of color can go a long way!
